The happiest day of my life, when my younger siblings were born. They make me realise how life is the most important thing, and that the future is full of possibility. It's impossible to worry about useless things when something as miraculous as a child is around.

Let's talk about that again in let's say 5 years, it might very well happen that you change your opinion  :) Not that I want you to change it, but experience and reality speak a quite clear language.

I almost have a piece finished  ;D . Even though it's a really simple piece and I don't know what's considered short (it's three pages) I still am pretty proud cause I've only had it for 3 weeks...not sure what other people average around those things but it makes me happy.

Well I thought I would write about some happy things for the last day of this year!  :) I wanted to write them before  but didn't have time or didn't feel like it or forgot...
so I'm writing some happy things from this year now  :)  :P

Some big happy things that I'm really so thankful for:
- that my little bird is feeling so much better now, because at the end of summer she wasn't feeling so great and got a little sick and then we took her to the vet and now she is soooo much better and so happy... maybe even more than ever before!  :)
- that my doggy is feeling so much better! She had surgery 3 months ago and now she is sooo much better!!!!!!!!  :)
- I was also sooo happy when I saw the music school doggy after 3 months of summer holidays... and then every time when I went to see him he made me sooo happy even when I wasn't feeling very great.  :) (I miss him really really a lot now, but I'm very happy for all the times when I saw him!)

And then some smaller things:
- for some time I think in October and November there were really a lot of birds around here where I live (and we never even saw them before at least not that many) and once really a lot of them were flying by my window and the shape of the flock was changing and after a while it changed so that it looked like the shape of a heart...  :) I really liked it!  :)
- once at night I was saying a prayer and was looking at the night sky and I felt kinda like I was expecting something and then I saw a shooting star! It made me really happy!  :)
- when the first cold started I was going down the stairs and I saw a night butterfly (a moth?) lying in the middle of the stairs like it was dead, it wasn't moving at all... and I didn't want to leave it there cause someone could step on it and the stairs were really cold. So I put it on my hand and went down to look for somewhere safe where I could put it... and while I was looking around it started moving just a little and then after awhile it started crawling around on my hand :) It made me so happy that my hand made it warm and it woke up and I felt like this warm energy was going from my hand... and then I found some safe place in the flowers and I put it somewhere where the sun was shining and somewhere where it could hide and when I came back after just a few minutes (I just went to take some bags from our car which was parked a few meters away) it wasn't there anymore so I think it flew away.  :)

And one more thing that made me very happy yesterday was when I sent pianowolfi a recording of me playing his piece Little Clay Bear and I was really afraid of what he would think (because I'm still making some mistakes) and then he said he really liked it and that he was touched that I played his piece so nice!  :)  :) I hope he really meant that! I can't wait to learn it so well that I can post it in the Audition room!!  :)  :P  8) Thanks Wolfi!  :)  :)

Thank you very much Wolfi!  :)  8) I think I'm really getting better... I mean I have been practicing it a lot since then and today I played it almost without mistakes... and then completely at the end (you know those last four notes) I made a mistake  ::) . But I'm really happy cause I feel like I am getting better.  8)  :)

We just bought the tickets for a 10 days stay in Sardynia beteewn the end of April and the beginning of May. Ok, it's not tomorrow, but the idea that soon I'll see again my father (he lives there all alone) and my beloved see brightens these gray, cold winter days  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)

That sounds wonderful, Margherita. I will wish you a very enjoyable trip in advance.

My happy stories:  My mega wealthy cousin sent me a gift of US $10,000 last week, just because he likes to share his wealth with family and he's not even my blood relative. So when I return from Jamaica in February (the second happy story), I'm going to move some furniture and buy myself a Yamaha baby grand!

I'm not searching for happiness but I didn't expect it to bite me in the way I play.

Someone just commented that my anger is seeping through the pieces I play and one of the pieces was supposed to be sweet and happy.

Last instructions? "Think happy thoughts." No, not to the second star to the right and straight on till morning... no, just to play that freakin piece properly.

Emotional range of a pianist, I didn't expect to stumble onto that.

Yes, I'm so happy!! But I'm happy for you that you'll be able to visit your father and that coast looks like heaven. Your winter can't be as bad as ours. It's freeeeegeeeed out there!! So terrible! I miss Malaysia and California like crazy! Jamaica will be nice but I'll be alone so that won't be so nice but I'll take my Kindle, my MP3, my binoculars and a few pieces of clothing!!  ;) ;)

How sweet of you to say you'll miss me. I won't be taking my netbook so I won't be staying in touch. I will miss you, too, and my piano and PianoStreet. I've become addicted to my piano and this forum. I've decided to go full steam ahead and complete the piece while working on the finer details with Birba so I'm going to be uploading a lot of videos. Some good, mostly not so good! I only have 2 pages left and I'll complete the piece - completed, of course, doesn't mean playing it well!!!   ;) ;) ;)

I am up to about episode ten of sixty-nine of Are You Being Served and Grace and Favour came in the mail yesterday. It is hugely funny and I had not realised how accurately it portrays workplaces of the sixties and seventies. It seems, thinking about it, that every place I worked had a frustrated Mrs Slocombe and a doddery Mr Grace, a pompous Mr Peacock and a - well - a Mr Humphries. Brilliant !
