etude op.10 no 3 - Chopin
on: November 04, 2011, 12:21:43 PM
In this etude, in the first bars, the upper notes of the accompaniement (g-b-g-b - a-b-a-b- etc) ate to be played with the left or the right hand? I would appreciate a help. Thanks.

They are to be played with the right hand, even though if your hand may be able to stretch. this etude is polyphonic. I read in Wikipedia that its purpose was the melodic line and accompaniment in the one hand. the right hand plays the melody with the weaker fingers and therefore the first two fingers of the right hand can me used to be an accompaniment. I hope this helps.

you help me a lot. Thank you. I asked because it was perfectly possible to play those notes with the left hand and so it will be an etude to left hand, not to the right one, you know?. Thanks.
