Vladimir Rebikov Waltz no. 6 in F minor
on: February 15, 2012, 02:58:48 PM
There is quite a lot of sheet music to be found on the web by Rebikov, but I can't find this particular piece. I think it's a RCM grade 7 piece and it's included with the "Quiet Classics" sheet music book. I would've bought the book if I was interested in the rest of the sheet music too, but unfortunately I'm only interested in this one.
Thanks in advance!

do u have an opus number? is it part of a set of pieces or a stand alone waltz i.e. publishing detials would help.
also have you cross referenced the key you request? i am pretty familiar with rebikov and i do not recall ever seeing a waltz in f minor? is an implied key (i.e. written in another but impressionistic elements give it a different tonal center? or perhaps there's an error in the listing and they mean f sharp minor? i ask becuase the christmas tree has a waltz in f sharp minor
)
again i'm just trying to make sense of it to see if perhaps it is burried inside a set of other works or if the listing you describe omits important info, i just can NOT find anything that even comes close (both in my archives and recording searches or even wiki compositions listings)
i don't even see it in this set of recordings and it's one of the more complete sets, it would be interesting that a work on a list you describe would be so obscure that there are no known stand alone publications or that pianists who have done surveys of his works have not recorded it

i was right you ommited a very important detail (no worries), the correct key signature, the book you referenced indicates a waltz in f# minor, no wonder i'd never heard of one in f minor....

Hi Enrique - thank you for replying!
I don't know much about this particular Waltz. I came across the piece on YouTube and I messaged serveral performers regarding this piece, but I didn't got more information to it. In one video description I've read what I've placed in the topic title: a Waltz no. 6 in F minor.
This is the one I'm looking for:

i'm sorry mand, i have absolutely no idea then. did an exhaustive search using multiple sources that at the least would point me in the right direction but without an opus number or publication info i'm having asuper hard time finding it.
