Bach - Prelude and Fugue in D major, BWV874 (Book II)
on: March 11, 2012, 12:16:52 AM
the prelude and fugue in D from the second book.. it is a very orchestral prelude, like a brandenburg concerto or something. the fugue is a very interesting, intricate four-voice fugue in a choral like setting. the fugue uses only two short motives throughout, it is an interesting experience to play..
d major from first book:

Wonderful. I'm in awe at the rate at which you come out with these. The fugue is one of my favorites in Book II; you brought out all the interesting details.

thanks for the nice comments. Actully i found this one fairly easy to learn, the prelude is all scales and arpeggios, and tho the fugue is put together in a complicated way, the actual notes are all coming from only two little phrases. you just have to remember what order they come in the voices.... !
