Corelli - La Follia
on: May 03, 2012, 06:10:27 PM
Hey there ;)
Anyone's got, or knows of, a piano solo arrangement of this beauty?

Cheers :)

The only one I could find (I think) is here, though I'm not sure how you actually get it:

Isn't the theme from Rachmaninov's Variations on a Theme by Corelli from La Follia

It is, yes, but I've already got those Rach variations  ;) and I was hoping I could get those by Corelli himself in a piano solo transcription, but oh well, it certainly hasn't been my year when it comes to getting piano solo transcriptions  :(

Not exactly what you want, but some years ago I did scan C P E Bach's variations on this theme.

i am not familar with the work  i have an mp3 by vivaldi from the sonata op 1 n 12 i believe is it a work for harpsichord you're looking for that will be played on piano?

a quick search on my ended yielded a pasquini and a scarlatti, sorry without really being super familiar with the piece im having trouble looking since if i find a score i can't really scan it and make a judgement as to whether or not im on the right track.

here's what i did find.
there's an instrumental score that if you're handy w finale or scortch or something similar you might be able to transcribe your own? assuming i'm even remotely close/on the right path.

Thank you very much for those sheets, Thal and Enrique ;) I think the one you sent me, the Corelli album, Thal, was the closest I've been able to get to what I want :) but I also appreciate that one by C P E Bach and the ones you posted, Enrique! Never saw those before, so yep, I definitely more than appreciate all of them  8)

I am more or less handy with Sibelius, Enrique, so who knows, I might have a go at transcribing the orchestral score you posted.

And yes, what I'm looking for is a solo keyboard transcription of the work, even if it's not specifically for piano, it doesn't really matter that much to me, what's really important (besides from the quality of it, of course ;) is that it must be for solo keyboard.

But well, for now these will keep me busy (and happy) enough  ;D Still, if you or anyone else happen to come across other possibilities, they'll be very welcome, too :)

Cheers, chaps ;)
