Thank you m1469 for the video. We see a ton of things in your shots. All positive. When you visit other cities you will also see pedestrian zones like this one. Wonderful moments outside on a balmy evening.

That's nice to know about there being pedestrian areas in other cities, too!  It's funny because I feel a kind of connection (in a kind of less attached way, though, strangely enough) with my hometown and even the US in general that either I have never had before, or haven't had for a long time (though this must be a little different no matter what), and it's partly because I feel a kind of connection with the entire world in a whole new way.  I feel more at home right now because I feel more at home in the world.  I enjoy and appreciate my little house and the life that is here for what it is, and have a much better sense of what it is, too.  But, that's partly because I felt at home somewhere(s) else, as well, and there is some sense that my home is the whole world, which I have always felt, but it's only always been more strictly intuition rather than a manifested reality.  Speaking of reality, it's setting in here and I had a bit of a shock this morning coming to terms with just the practicalities of making a life work.  I don't know exactly when I'll get to travel again, and I'm going to need to be very patient because it's like I can't wait.  There's so much I want to see.

Does anybody know that I flew over Greenland?  I think that's amazing ... I mean, I wasn't even trying to see Greenland, but I saw it!!!  I took some photos of that, too, and I will post sometime.  I saw a bit of Germany, some of Austria, some of Italy, some of Greenland, (okay, some of Canada), and I can't believe it's real!!!

One of my biggest lessons while away was living in the present.  There is nothing like that and it's a quality of life.  Well, there's hoards more but the piano and singing (and various "tasks" about living) beckons :).

Yes indeed, that was my route for years and years,  LAX-AMS (Schiphol). From my office in Amsterdam I could see the planes take off from Schiphol, who looked like they were going to fly into the window on my left as they slowly and laboriously climbed. Those were the days of over loaded 747's. There was a complaint line for the noise because they rattled our French doors. They even woke us up. The entire house shook as they thundered overhead!

There was and still is something magical about dawn over the North Atlantic at 40,000 feet. Because of the time difference Eastbound I am always awake to look out the window.

A kind of cool place in Vienna.  This is just behind Stephansdom, kind of attached even.  This is a hallway leading to a place where I think (if I'm remembering correctly) Mozart worked for awhile, and lived upstairs ... (am I right?  I can't find the info right now).  Other notable musicians had lived here sometimes, too.   If you go through those big wooden doors, it goes into those areas (but it was closed and locked).

Then, if you follow the light, it leads into a courtyard.  In this courtyard there are windows from the buildings surrounding it, and *this* window has original steel lattice work.  It also looks into such a beautiful little theatre that is under the working/living quarters I mentioned above:

And here is looking through the window into the theatre, which I so much love:

And to the left a bit:

The ceiling:

And do you know?  They still hold concerts in here!  I would so love to be in there all by myself, playing a fortepiano.  Or just sitting in there, soaking it in.  I would have liked to have been even outside the window longer, but there were ladies out there in the courtyard, drinking coffees and I was too aware of them to fully relax and soak it in.  I was the strange lady who randomly appeared from the hallway, shuffled their peace a bit, and was looking through the lattice, holding my phone through that, taking photos.  Oh well, I guess they can share with this strange lady.

Original lattice work, that's neat. :)  The stone walkway looks like it could be from the time also.

Actually, they should have recognized you and asked for your autograph. :)

Mysterious!

Yeah, it seems the stone might be original.  I just remembered that this place was not actually attached to the Stephansdom, and was slightly more removed than I was thinking (I'm not sure who is concerned about that, but for some reason I want to remember the correct orientation).  I absolutely loved wandering those stone streets :).

You've got pictures.  Rebuild it at home.  Or put up a picture on the wall.

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!  Great idea!  I don't know why I didn't think of it myself!  I've printed two photos off, they are just on normal paper, but they actually look kind of awesome and they each fill an entire page!  I'm not sure where I'll put them ... maybe in the windows of my music binder?  Maybe next to my piano?  I don't know yet.  I guess I could put them in both places ...

Ah, the innocence of youth. Wouldn't you just love to build a stone street/patio/walkway that looks like that.  Let me know when it's installed.

I think she might actually build that, in some way.  Paint a wall.  Stick a door up that looks similar.  Something like that.

Or decorate around the piano so it looks like the piano is in that place.

Yeah!!!!  I WANT THAT!

The difficult part will be the stones. One of my guys just finished a walkway through a garden using odd shaped stones, but not like those in the picture. Our material comes from a exclusive quarry in Mexico and we can get them cut any size and shape.

Stick with Bob's suggestion and go with the impressionist approach.

Or desktop wallpaper.  Whichever is easier.

Or get ones of those digital picture frames that cycles through pictures.
