Who are your favorite ragtime composers? What are some of your favorite rags by them?

Any Eubie Blake fans out there?

Hey! These are what I would say! In fact, I don't know many rags...

*I've just listened to a couple of pieces by Eubie Blake. I really liked them! But, unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with his music...

Hi WilliamPiano,

My favourite Ragtime composer is Scott Joplin (surprise!). My favourite Joplin works to play are (in order of increasing awesomeness):

The Easy Winners, Swipesy, Elite Syncopations, and The Strenuous Life.

The Fig Leaf Rag is very entertaining to listen to, but I haven't got to learning it yet.

Cheers! Feel free to email me if you want to get in touch.
