He had written a piano concerto in e major and other compositions, but he died when he was 25 or so years by tuberculosis... Now, the only two composers that come into my mind with e minor are Chopin and Rubinstein... I don't know who else... Is it Rubi 1st?

No, seriously he exists!!  If you can't find him in google it's due to the fact that 100 and something years before him lived a little plumb man who didn't have anyhting else to do than write preludes and fuges all day long. He even lacked the letter e from his name!!! 
Now, I have to admit that you beat me this time... There are so many composers that studied with Liszt... Is there a wiki page about him?

And if your hints points to a British composer, the only ones I have even heard are by Field... Someone else must take this one....
