New Piano Market Statistics: Inside the Quiet Transformation of Piano Playing

For those of us who spend our lives on the bench — whether teaching, practicing for a recital, or simply playing for the love of it – the piano has always been a singular concept: wood, felt, strings, and soul. Yet, recent global market reports reveal that the definition of our instrument is expanding and evolving in ways that affect us all. Read more

Bisikan Badai - Piano Piece from Indonesian Composer
on: November 21, 2012, 08:07:14 PM
Hi all,
Here I'd like to share one of my piano composition.
It's very Indonesian sounding with gamelan pelog chops.
Feedback are graciously welcomed.

And if anybody happen to be interested to see the score,
I am willing to send it for free, with an agreement of you playing it(possibly in your recital or elsewhere), interpret it, record it, and Youtube it.
I'd love to hear my piece being performed by many interpretation.
Would be fun to hear it from you.

Cheers,
Yakub Saputra

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to play it so no score for me.

I liked the calmer parts very much. The faster passages are not exactly my cup of tea, but without them... I guess they provide very good contrast. So all in all, I like it.
All truths, not merely ideas, but truthful faces, truthful pictures or songs, are highly beautiful.

Hello,
This is very beautiful! I have been really interested in Indonesian music recently, and this piece is very nice. As mentioned previously, the calmer passages are exquisite. May I have the score please (pdf is preferable)? My email is prathivadivishnusrinivasa@gmail.com. Thank you and I hope to record this piece for you in some time.
