I love Cage's 4'33 - I could play it on repeat when I go to bed.

A lot of 21st century music, starting with Schoenberg´s piano concerto. I´m pretty sure a lot of atonal music can fit perfectly in this category. A said 'a lot' because there's also a lot of 21st music that sucks, just like in every music period.

Schoenberg's piano concerto is 40 minutes of horrible cacophony that none but the most avid atonal music lovers wish to sit through. I personally can't stand to listen to even 2 minutes of it.

Saint-Saens first piano concerto. People hating it mostly has to do with bad interpretations. Have a listen to Hough's recording of it. It'll change your mind.

Also Rachmaninoff's first Symphony.

I revoke an opinion I had stated earlier in another forum; but I have finally come to an understanding and liking for Schumann. I know his music isn't HIGHLY regarded, but I think it should be!

His music is highly regarded amongst professionals. It isn't among many impatient amateurs who think they know better.

Schubert Impromptu in Ab......reminds me of shooting geese as they land and go splash in the pond.......but the middle section is nice. Most people like it----I think....I don't. I like the others in the set.

Kicking ass is a good thing, in case you were confused. This thread is to list pieces of music that you like, but most people don't.
