I don't think musical mathematics and metronome will help. This is not like (4/3) in Fantasy Impromptu which the least common multiplier of 4 and 3 is only 12.
LCM(22/12) is 132. If you set your metronome at 132, it will take up to 1 minute to play this run.
You said you split it in to two groups, so it will be 11/6. That is what I did too, but I experimented something more. Here how it worked for me. I practiced this following sets hands together [3/2 4/2 4/2], [4/2 3/2 4/2] , [4/2 4/2 3/2], [4/2 7/4] and [7/4 4/2] but also add the first note on the next group to make sure that I make no gap between those two group. Then when I tried to play [11/6] everthing runs itself. Also you might try 11/6 directly, but you have to add the first not of the next group otherwise you will end up with a gap which already happened.
Also I cooked up some cominations for 20/12 based on the same idea above.
Hope that someone might come up with a better approach.
