Im finding this etude harder then i was expecting, i have bin playing for some time now the famous op 72 n2 and i have bin wanting to play a new etude of moszkowski, i really like n6 but find it considerably harder then n2.
Have any of you played this piece before? could you pleas tell me your personal experience playing it?  what level or grade where you when you started it, how much time did it take you to get it up to tempo, what parts did you struggle with the most???
last question would you find this piece to be around the same level as chopin op 25 n2 ?

I would really appreciate some of your replys :)

which part are you struggling with? I played it about 6 years ago but recently I started practicing it again. The only hard thing I can remember now was maintaining the pulse and clear rhythm and notes when speeding up, specially on the higher register. Compared to Chopin's op.25 no.2, I think Moszkowski's is harder, specially since there's no left hand segment on Chopin's and it's not as fast, but that's my experience, maybe you'll find Chopin's harder or equal.

well im struggling with mostly the choice fingering in the chromatic scales, i have the Schimers edition and have a hard tim following there fingering, i find it confusing that there is a different fingering in the chromatic scales in different bars but maybe i should pay no attention to there fingering do it all intuitively?

I have the Schirmer's too (or what's left of it :P ), and I did use a different fingering just a few of the chromatic scales, it just a few chromatic scales, one, or all of them the ones you find confusing? the idea I followed, and the one intended on the edition too I guess, was to play in groups of 3 and 4 notes to reduce the times you cross the thumb so that it helps you play fast, like the fingering on bars 3, 4 and 7 and 8.
