Help me name this Liszt piece?
on: July 12, 2013, 04:46:40 PM
Hey. I have this Liszt piece in my head, but I cannot find it since I heard it a long time ago.

It starts with this long descending scale in a major key, then two staccato chords, and then two chords played legato, the last one being staccato (ba, ba, baaaa-ba).

Then, I think, the same scale again, but starting a third (or something) higher.

I was sure it was a Paganini etude, but it isn't (I've listened to all six).

Thanks in advance.

are you sure it's not the 2nd Paganini Etude?

Sweet mother of God, that is it. Maybe I jumped over the 2nd by accident or something.
I was also sure it started the way I described, obviously I was wrong.

Thanks!

what about the first piece he plays in song without end movie for princess Caroline, at he Czar's place?
