Nice job!

I think we were a little too free with the pulse in general-in my opinion this obscured the musical structure (I got the feeling at times that I couldn't see the forest because so much attention was drawn to the trees). You've made everything sound a bit overly tender by slowing down predictably in places. I think there is plenty of tenderness that will come through in the music itself-we don't need to add much, if any.

You've certainly got the right idea, and despite what I have said above, I enjoyed listening to your performance! Lots of fine shaping and good voicing all around. Thank you for sharing!

Ver nice performance !! Although i will agree with awesom_o about your tempo sometimes .
But overall, a performace i enjoyed a lot . :)

Have you listen to Glenn Gould's version? He might give you some ideas about the bass notes in specific measures .

Thanks a lot for the complement and comments on the my performance. I'll take every comment and think about it.
This recording was made about 8-9 years ago when I was still in the 3rd year of my bachelor. I think it sounds not too bad, but if I have to recorded this piece again, I will of course do it differently.

Anyway, if you enjoyed my recording, I do have Brahms' Ballade from the same opus (op.118) and also other stuff too. Check out my channel, if you like :)

The expressiveness is unmatched.

I do like a lot and agree on his interpretation. It is very artistic and musical, I find.
However, to my taste, as in a lot of his recordings, I find that his fenatic personality is also present in this recording. (I really think that it is less to do with how he interpret but how his real personality is...) I don't say that I dislike a fenatic personality. In fact, I think it would sound really good on compositions from Scriabin, let's say...But for Brahms, especially THIS piece, it is a little too much in some part.

But I agree, this recording is worth listening. And I could listen to it many many times. But for my taste, I won't say I like it the perfect...

No performance is 'perfect'. That is never the goal of art. Gould's expressiveness is unmatched here. That is all I said. Match his expressiveness with a mighty expressiveness of your own!

Your rendition was of an extremely high quality.

I don't like how you break the 10th in the RH at the beginning. It's way too slow, so my ear hears the F# too early, and the A too late. I would prefer if you could break it a bit more on the beat.

I thought your middle section was gorgeous. Sometimes I missed beautiful notes in the tenor line because you didn't make them speak as well as they needed to.
