I have been relatively silent here the past 1-2 months or so - here's perhaps the main reason:
https://app.box.com/s/ylc7affbfgpex8k54b08The first part of my diploma concert last week. Second part was with orchestra - might post parts of that later. Program:
Beethoven - Sonata F# major op 78
Szymanowski - Two mazurkas op 62
Chopin - Berceuse
Ravel - Gaspard de la nuit
Couperin - 3 pieces from 6eme ordre of 'Pieces de clavecin'
Chopin - Etude op 10:7
Debussy - etudes for sixths, octaves and 8 fingers from Book 1
Here's the video, not as good sound quality but haven't been able to combine the audio with the video so far:
update.......why not add one of the pieces with orchestra too, though perhaps it'll be more clear here that the audio quality isn't that great. Some Carter for ya:
The piece was premiered by Barenboim (to whom it was dedicated) about a year ago, was also performed by P-L Aimard this summer - for all that I know, it hasn't been performed by anyone else so far. There's a clip of a Barenboim performance on youtube as well, but I better not start criticizing his rendition too much here
