Hey I want to know if you guys know where I can find information about my capen upright piano. Or how I would go about getting it appraised. I have the serial number. I also would like to find out how old it is

Actually that's a good question about getting it appraised . I'm not sure the average tuner would have a good handle on that brand as it's a bit obscure of a brand. They built quality pianos and some what ornate, but were in business for a pretty short time. It's possible you might find the brand in the blue book of pianos. Beast bet here at PS is if Dan Silverman sees your query. You might consider giving him a PM and see if he knows of someone who could appraise it for you.
I know nothing about them personally , except that I see online that restored or rebuilt ones sell for pretty good money for an upright.

Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.
