Yeah I just posted on your Youtube page....so umyeahMarry me
Thank you for posting, beatriz. I enjoyed hearing your performance. I am also in Toronto! Have you ever played any music for 2 pianos? I have 2 pianos! How's your sightreading?
Thanks for sharing your interpretation. I liked it a lot. It was different from what I had watched before.Saludos,Abie
lolllll this is amazing!!!!!!!!! You really nailed the snappy attitude of this piece. I looooved how absolutely feisty it is. This is a prime example (from some other thread somewhere) about how a performance needs to be given 100% your all, and not hold back on anything. If you would have been more careful and hit all the right notes, but sacrificed the musicality, it would not have had the punch or the life that it does have. I fully support the "give'er" approach. Way to lay it all out on the line. It was outstanding!!!! The ending segment may have been a tad bit intense. But who cares? It spoke to the audience. and it was pretty damn impressive.
No, thank YOU for watching/listening. I'm not quite sure what you've watched before but in any case, I'm glad you liked it. And yes, saludos para ti también. Beatriz
Hola Beatriz,I'm not an active listener yet, so I can't comment on the technicalities, but I've gone to a few recitals where this piece has been played, by some established artists (Lang Lang, Trifonov, among others), and some upcoming pianists (recent graduates on church concerts). My preferred interpretation was the one from Daniil Trifonov on his London concert, after winning the Tchaikovsky competition. Really, really great. As I said before, I liked your interpretation. Although it's difficult to appreciate it fully on a video.Saludos,Abie.
R.I.P. Liszt!!!
You are miles above my own abilities, but I have to say that there were quite a few wrong notes in that. you have the speed and the agility to totally nail that piece, but it just didnt happen.
My heart was warmed when reading your thread about performing lesser known composers as this is very dear to me, but in the nicest possible way, you should leave this piece well alone and stick to works that are within your capabilities.I am going to be as gentle as possible as you are probably a lovely young lady, but you are about as close to performing this to an acceptable standard as de Pachmann was to the Chopin-Godowsky Revolutionary. Your tempo is all over the place, you could fill up bathtub with all the wrong notes and you attempt to cover up an almost nervous breakdown with your foot glued to the pedal. I have no idea why you would release such a performance.I have to accept the possibility that I am a complete arse and this is a performance of genius. However, it did not sound any more palatable to my ears even after half a gallon of ale and most things do.LuvThal
