Trill polonaise op. 26
on: July 07, 2014, 11:55:22 PM
First question, on the second page there's a trill you have to play while keeping the polonaise rhythm with the same hand.  I mean I noticed it before I picked it up, but I'm wondering if there are any tips/exercises to playing this part decently(to the point where it won't make u vomit)? It's the only part in this pie e that actually gives me a reaaaal problem, whenever I get here the rhythm gets distorted.

Oh and question number 2

It's about that upwards scale run in the beginning. Not my first time playing chopin so I've seen it a lot, but I just want some reassurance. There's no correct way of playing this (time wise), I just have to make them fit in the measure (and make them sound cool) right?

Ps it's the eflat minor one

Thanks in advance

You could start off by doing a (slow) timed trill - keep it in semiquavers until you have that in rhythm, then demi semi quavers, or tripletted semi quavers.

Pretty much, yep.
