Have a piano tech go over it and then decide whether you like it or not.

A used Steinway still sounds pretty good.  A new one?  It's got to be broken in... Yuck.  Used?  Better value, already broken in... Just pay a tech to make it as good as it can be.   

You really won't know for sure until it's in the space it will live in for a while and the piano tech has gone over well enough. 

Sounds nice.  Plus... Already used, so if you sell it, it should be about the same value.  You can even say a piano tech has gone over it... up the price a bit.  Make money off it possibly.
