A Free Grand Piano? – Scammers Target Piano Enthusiasts

If you’re in the market for a piano, be cautious of a new scam that’s targeting music lovers, businesses, schools, and churches. I really need some advice on wrist exercises/stretches I can do before my piano practice. I severely damaged my wrist ligaments and bones about a year ago, in combat sport. Over time, the pain and stiffness has became increasingly worse, the doctor said that there is nothing he can do, unless I would consider surgery, which I really don't want, since I might not be able to play for months.

You might consider seeing a physiotherapist, you might consider seeing another doctor for a second opinion.

Since it is a physical problem unrelated to (though possible exacerbated by, or most clearly showing up in) your piano playing, I'd have though no one here could really offer any useful advice beyond that.

I suspect that won't stop people trying though. My last advice is to ignore them.

It could be how you play.  Gently and pp is the way to go until your better.  Young people shouldn't take more than a month or two to heal.  See a physiotherapist asap.

Hopefully your doctor could offer an alternative to surgery. My doctor never even mentioned surgery, just ice, heat, ice , heat. what I found was during the heat phase that washing dishes was a great way to apply movement that would allow some stretching of the hand but not too much. It still took months to get back to normal.
