How do you view the pf site? [Bob asks]
on: December 11, 2004, 02:18:00 AM
Do you only go to certain boards?

Do you check ALL the posts, or only those that look interesting?

I'm just curious.

i look at all the boards except "instruments" and "the pf website", and just look at the threads whose titles catch my interest. my favourites are probably the teaching, students and anything but piano boards.

non-piano is my domain mwahaha cos i like writing useless things. but i always visit the other boards except instruments and teaching which i look at every once in a while. i don't look at threads which relate to a piece i have no idea about, but tend to look at a lot but don't have the knowledge to write a decent response.

Anymore I just sit here for hours trying to take it all in.  I get overwhelmed by the extensive amounts of information and feel that there is much more to be learned.

Anyway, I visit the "anything but", "teaching", "student's corner", and "performance" rooms quite frequently (or non stop you could almost say- I stop only when I have to).  I, of course, look through the others too.  At first I only read threads that I felt compelled to read from the title, but now I find myself interested in just about everything.  I find useful information just about everywhere these days.  How fun  :D!  But, I am definitely losing sleep over it, all I want to do is be awake and absorb, absorb, absorb.

I often feel inspired to respond to thoughts and ideas, but even more often I do not actually do it.

what do YOU do bob?!  (he he)

I used to go mainly to the performance board.  Now, I'm more over at the Anything but Piano one to take a break after work.

I've found using the search feature and finding posts that are less than 1 day old gives me a new perspective because a few interesting threads I probably wouldn't have found or clicked on.  Some of the titles just don't look interesting, but there might still be good information in there.

I also use the notifcation a lot -- mainly just to get here.  I have no clue what determines which notifications I get though.
