They appear to be nice kids, and they play well. I can't figure out though if some of the behaviour is staged or authentic. Someone in the orchestra seems to have a huge smirk throughout and sometimes even appears to be chuckling. The behaviour of some other orchestra members is odd as well. Does anyone know the context of this video?
Hi Michael!
nice video you posted there! I recognized the Militaire-march by Schubert, since I have it for example in an arranged version by Richard Krentzlin, of a Schubert-"potpurri / medley", of easy-intermediate difficulty, for piano solo, in a collection-book!
@Behaviour of orchestra-members: hmm, I didn't spot too relevant oddities, but that doesn't mean much, since, as I pointed out in another thread, I won't be accustomed to oddities, - and they won't bother me.
What I noticed, was, that many people of the audience were casually / informally clothed, just "normal" people, it seemed to me, and as far as the "two soloists" are in the middle of our view, I liked both of them, while being the only things I disliked were the constant circular (
added: "ellipsoid" ) upperbodymovements of the (nice!) girl!
The name Arie Vardi, which I read in the YT-description, is known to me.

Very funny (imho)

would be the following, too:
I spotted the bassoon, which a member of the orchestra holds: I imagined at once the following:
"What, if, during the two nice pianists are just playing the march militaire, the bassoon-player would BLOW FORCEFULLY into his instrument, playing a VERY DISSONANT TONE very loudly, into the "thick of" the piano-playing, and THEN smiling???

Very cordial greetings from: 8_octaves!
