Hey everyone, so I've got a piano competition coming up (well, in several months) but I want to start working on a piece for it. It's simple - play one piece and you're done. Minimum 5 minutes and Maximum 15. I really want to play something from Chopin because:
1. Chopin is the best
2. No one plays anything by Chopin in this competition
3. Chopin is the best
4. Chopin is the best
So anyway, could you help me decide? So I can play Beethoven Pathetique, Bach Italian concerto, Chopin Ballade 3, Etude 10/5, Etude 25/6. Something around this level of difficulty. I really like his Scherzo 2, ballade 1, and barcarolle, but I feel that these are overplayed. I would like to play Piano Sonata 3 (first mov.) But I know I know - I'm not at that level yet. Do you think I can handle Scherzo 2 ballade 1 or Barcarolle? If not, could you put in an idea?
THANKS A TON
