Hay Don, I said I was over 35.  I didn't say I was OLD, buddy.  Besides, my friend Al Gore, who is older than I, invented the internet.

Nice to meet ya!

Yes, well, sometimes it would be nice to know the general century and hemisphere of birth.    :P

Kathy:  1958

Sharon, I don't remember that... I was only 3.  It was a big deal to my dad though, and I remember that very early.

I'm interested in the fairly recent surge in classical piano activity by folks near my age, though.  Seems like a lot, for some reason.  I've been plodding away at it as an amateur my entire life, but I see posts fairly often by folks over 40 that abandoned piano and are now coming back.

Oops, guess not.  I would have been 3 years old.  I did see him there when I was about 16, though.  Whoa did he look fetching  in those navy blue cords and sweater. [pant, pant]

Glad to meet you!

I'm one of those. Didn't play for almost 35 years and now I'm back taking lessons.

Maybe it's some sort of penance or an attempt to find redemption. Who knows!

What's going on here? There's a whole bunch of new old people. Just kidding - I'm one of the "chronologically challenged" to but ya won't get my age outa me.

Alice, since you're a newbie, let me advise you not to post your real full name here. ;)

OK, I'm a bit slow, but I finally figured out what's going on. There's a group of people at PianoWorld who migrated over here.

Some of them kept their own names/handles, or kept them thinly veiled, and some didn't. I pretty much figured out who all of you are there. If you did not want people to know, you should have changed your posting styles. ;)
