Sharon, I don't remember that... I was only 3.  It was a big deal to my dad though, and I remember that very early.

I'm interested in the fairly recent surge in classical piano activity by folks near my age, though.  Seems like a lot, for some reason.  I've been plodding away at it as an amateur my entire life, but I see posts fairly often by folks over 40 that abandoned piano and are now coming back.

OK, I'm a bit slow, but I finally figured out what's going on. There's a group of people at PianoWorld who migrated over here.

Some of them kept their own names/handles, or kept them thinly veiled, and some didn't. I pretty much figured out who all of you are there. If you did not want people to know, you should have changed your posting styles.
