Piano and harp suggestions!
on: June 29, 2015, 04:51:09 AM
Hi once more,
A very dear friend of mine who's a harpist and I want to record something for harp and piano, but are still a little unsure as to what piece to play. We'd prefer something of medium length and difficulty. I already know of the piano and harp arr. of Ducasse's 'Variations plaisantes', but I'm afraid it's both a little longer than we'd, and harder!
I really don't know much of harp and piano repertoire, with the exception of a few works like, say, Ravel's 'Introduction & Allegro' (arranged for that combination of instruments) and Dussek's 'Duet for harp and piano'. The latter, we are actually considering, but would really like to know a few more suggestions of similar pieces (again, both in terms of length and difficulty, though not necessarily in terms of time period) before we take our pick.
Any suggestions will be
most
welcome!
Cheers,
M.W.
