Hi,
This is a wonderful rendition. I admire your playing. This Venetian Gondola Song is probably less familiar than Mendelssohn's Venetian Boat Song, Op. 10, No. 6, but that by itself is a good reason to learn and play this one from Op. 62. It's a lovely piece. Thanks for posting it.

Hi David,
Thanks -- I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I chose this one because it's not one of the two popular ones but it is just as wonderful. I like to put music out there in cyberspace that classical music fans possibly haven't heard. In addition, I am always targeting audiences not so familiar with classical music--to widen the circle of interest. That's my small contribution. It's also nice because that type of audience is not keeping a score card on whether or not you are following the "rules" or playing to their "taste."
