Hi everyone! I have a request...
I've been thinking for a little while that I'd like to push myself technically and see what I can do if I put my mind to it. To that end I'd like to hear suggestions for a challenging piece I could do.
I have up until now tried to be very methodical and restrained in my choice of repertoire, choosing only pieces I can handle and not pushing myself too far but now I really want to know what I'm capable of...
Now, I should make one thing clear, I have a phobia of ruining a good piece by tackling it too early so what I am looking for here is a slightly trashy but still musically enjoyable piece that I can "wreck" to my heart's content. The kind of challenge I'm looking for is principally technical and not musical. Also, I'm going to rule out a few composers like Bach, Chopin, Mozart and Beethoven, they're too important to me to ruin and I can't think of anything of theirs that's advanced enough that I'd be happy to risk it on.
I have been thinking primarily of Liszt but am not exactly sure which to do and I really don't want to ruin any of his better works either. I was thinking of maybe doing a Hungarian Rhapsody but again, I'm not sure.
Anyway please let me know what your ideas are

Oh and please link me to good performances and sources for sheet music where possible please

Thankyou.
