Prokofiev Sonata Op. 28
on: October 07, 2015, 09:33:04 PM
Hi,

This is only the first section of this 1-movement sonata, and yet I make countless horrible blobs.  But this is my first upload in the Audition Room, so....

Yeah, sorry for this topic. It's basically spam.

Hey RSMad,

Great job on this! Lots of nice ideas/beautiful things.

I would personally work on having more intense swells. I've always seen this piece as being very distraught and even scary in a sense. Like on those opening E major chords try to have mini crescendos, diminuendos and subito fortes to keep everything on edge. These are just a couple of vague things to keep in mind. Try to find that " demonic element " as they call it. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about :). Keep up the good work! This is a great piece that works really well in concerts/competitions etc..

OK, I will. My (new :) ) teacher has been constantly talking about that demonic element at the beginning, which I never seem to do well ;D

I'm an angel  ::)

this is good... but I agree with missing the "demonic" element... Prokofiev wasn't a very compromising or "nice" person; I think you smoothed out a lot of the "rough edges" of the piece

again: a little sevvie playing this?? such madness

anyway, this is good... but I agree with missing the "demonic" element... Prokofiev wasn't a very compromising or "nice" person; I think you smoothed out a lot of the "rough edges" of the piece

but don't worry
I did that too "when I was your age" :P

How did you know I'm a sevvie?

Do you know my last name?

I hope you don't guess it. There's not many Chinese last names out there... (hint I don't have a Chinese last name ;D because my ancestors were the immigrants, so over time there was some mixing ;D)

Hint: The reason I cant play demonic is cause I'm an Angel ;D

I predict that that means you are so stupid. That's so stupid though, since I feel like si should be if like in spanish.
I think it's actually pretty amazing that a middle schooler can play piano this goodly x|
