I agree.

Rubinsteinmad, you need to stop being so stuck-up. Though to be fair, I was quite a bit when I was 12.Here's a little bit about me: I believed in "musical conspiracy theories" and I criticized and insulted every single thing on earth. And I didn't have much respect for other people either- I was frankly quite racist and thought I was "above" everybody (e.g. anyone who didn't like classical music; somehow I thought I was so much more sophisticated than all my friends!). Oh, and, I used to offend people without giving a sh-t, in very much the same way that I think you did to Noah. But gradually I learned that if you respect people and see the "good" parts in them, you learn a lot more and I guess you can say you get a lot more out of your life. And if you don't agree with an opinion (especially if that opinion is the majority, or the consensus), you take off your tinfoil hat and you try your best to see other people's reasoning! (unless that opinion is "the NWO will happen" or "Donald Trump is god)
So no, I am not trying to be condescending and "holier-than-thou;" I know exactly where you're coming from and I've been there too! And it's not good to be like that. You alienate everybody around you.

I'm not being stuck up. Pencilart3 was being stuck up; you should see what he wrote on the other thread.

I do not think classical music is more sophisticated. I think that the people who believe in that lie are arrogant people not suitable for the purpose of music.

So Shut Up. You do not know who I really am.

I never said I was not as bad. You should reread what I wrote.

Besides, I win in the long run, because by he time you reach Feux-follets you'll find yourself unable to learn the 1st measure.

gotta admit that this is somewhat true. Pencilart, you really do need to get over that bottleneck of having so much tension in your playing...

Quote from: rubinsteinmad, kypiano, and 5 other accounts
classical music sh*t
and ok that's true but still you're pretty f-ing stuck up Ruby...

Oh, I found one thing I like a lot about pencilart3:

We are fans of Valentina Lisitsa and we will NOT ever stop being her fans. No one can stop us. Especially not PS Members trying to make us replace Lisitsa with some Katsaris or Marc-Andre Hamelin.

Up with Lisitsa!

Up with Aimi Kobayashi and and Zimerman and Rafal Blechacz and Seong-jin Cho and Eric Lu!

except I don't prefer V. Lisitsa's performances of Etudes. Especially Etudes by Chopin, Liszt, or Rachmaninoff. Also, I'd rather listen to Behzod Abduraimov on the Saint-Saens g minor Concerto; Rafal Blecahcz I don't wana listen to him

That's great, but your faith (Read: Opinion) isn't suddenly immune to any jokes or criticism purely because it's held closely. Otherwise we also have to tolerate the KKK's beliefs and neo-nazi's beliefs.

in the 70s when I was your age.. there was a cheesy motivational musical variety show that toured the country called... "up with people"-- lots of jumping around... a song about how Jimmy wanted to play with a doll (?)... sigh...

that was the first time I heard... "up with"   -- and I made it 40 years without hearing it again... until now.

thanks.  ::)

As a man of science I am inclined to disagree on both your point regarding religion AND my intelligence.

Although the latter is definitely more up for debate.

Stating Jesus never existed (in the biblical form), is not rude, neither is it making fun of a religion. Just as telling me i'll never win the lottery just because I believe I'll pick the winning numbers this week isn't rude!

Rude is random strangers knocking on my door to ask me (for the 60th time) if I've heard about the Lord; Jesus Christ, the Savior, if i'll consider donating and if i'll consider going to church, all before I've fully opened the door!

the ones on the bikes are Mormon--it's up for debate whether this group is even Christian...considering their "prophet"  J Smith ranks higher than JC.

the ones with the magazines are Jehovas Witness--secretive group.... ????????

you can get either group to never knock on your door again... by simply answering the door buck-ass naked and inviting them in to debate your personal nudist religion over a nice cup of tea...

works like a charm.  :)

Outin, I HATE Rubinsteinmad who is probably a guy anyway. Until he/she/it posts a video of herself/himself/itself playing, I'm going to assume that it is of male gender. And if it is of female gender, I hate it almost as much as the religious jokes that you guys are making. Why can't atheists do exponential equations? Because they don't believe in higher powers. YES! I've never heard up with either but Aimi

I don't understand how the judges gave such low scores for Aimi's Concerto.

Maybe it's different live than recorded, but I thought Aimi played the Concerto the most beautiful ,touching, introvertely passionate, reserved, yet soulful.

I also loved Seong-jin Cho's Concerto for its brilliancy and passion.
