Chopin's best sonata...

... the Cello Sonata in G minor. Chopin performed three movements of it in 1848 at Salle Pleyel, in what ended up being his last public performance. The Largo was played at his funeral. If you can spare only four minutes listen to the Largo at 19:45.

I share your sentiment. It's an incredibly dramatic and sentimental work, one of Chopin's best no doubt. I don't have the time right now but I'll listen to it later tonight. Again, thanks for posting!
