Mozart piano sonata K310 in A minor.
on: March 19, 2016, 04:14:15 PM
Hey,

I've been practicing this sonata for a while already. I just finished the first movement.

I would you to help me and / or give tips for improving it :-). I'll post here the first theme in A minor. If I see someone is able to help  me on it, I'll post the entire movement here hehe. I was hurry because I had to go back to class, so I just could record me once the first part :S.

I'd really appreciate your help ( and sorry for screwing it up at the end, I had been playing for a long time without stopping and my fingers and wrists were way too tired, and I did a mistake on fingering at the end and screwed it up ).

I'm far from being an expert so I unfortunately can't give you any tips, but (if we exclude that bit at the end :) ) I really enjoyed your playing. Keep up the good work!

IMO could use a lot of work in the soft areas; the other parts are good, but really focus on refining your quieter areas.
That said, it's not bad by any means :)
Cheers!

Yeah, I've noticed it too recently. There are some parts that are soft ( piano and pianissimo ). I'm conscious of that while playing, and I really have the feeling that I am doing it softer, but watching some of my recordings, I've noticed that I play it as the rest of the piece, and there's not much difference between p, mf and pp when I play. I'll try to work on those dynamics.

It's a bit hard to play those semiquavers at that speed and piano / pp . Mozart is harder than it seems to be. Anyway, I really enjoy this piece and have plenty of time to work on it ^^.

Thanks for replying again !

PS : Do you know any way to improve softer parts ? Playing them slowly or... ?

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
