Hey all, have a look at this site about EVP:

I saw this site posted at the end of the trailer for that new movie coming out "White Noise".  Oh man, I cant wait to see that...

What do you make of the so called "Phenomenon"?  Im cynical as hell and believe these "entities" are just coincedences combined with lots of imagination..

ok, I mean, I was reading this stuff from the site:

and I couldnt help but chuckle a little... I dont know.. maybe Im just too afraid of it if it turns out to be true so I automatically go and deny it...

so please, I wanna know what you smart people of the forum have to say.

I went to a ghost wesite to try and scare myself one time (I was bored). I saw the EVP recordings and listened to some of them. They scared the sh*t out of me. Seriously they are too creepy sounding. I couldn't sleep in silence for a week.

The unseen, unheard, unknown aspect of this universe is endlessly fascinating to me.  The problem with trying to research it objectively is that all the senses that take in information with only the left brain are a limited way of connecting.  It's like looking for something with the lights off when there's a switch right next to you.  I find fear of intuition and esp and such to be a limiting mindset.  Imagination, psychic events, creativity are all so closely linked in the same part of the brain.  It is amusing to me that if scientists can measure something with a we-can-see-it-on-a-graph therefore it's real "study" that they truly believe that truth has been served in a very special way.   Frankly, it's so ego driven it's booooooooring.  Just ask the next ten people you meet about their experiences with departed loved ones.  It's real, it's there, it's just not cool right now to talk about it in polite conversation... doesn't fit with the scientific model.  Don't be creeped out.  Maybe you could actually plan what you might "say" to others when you're on the other side.   I am a psychic by the way, so let me be clear that I know what I'm talking about, and once you get into it in a positive way the source of all this stuff is at times thrilling.

A friend of mine and I used to hang out in the alley behind the old-folks home by his house at 2 AM with sound recorders a few nights a week about 3 summers ago, and we DID get a couple of EVPs, though I'm not sure if they were really spirits talking or just some random noise that we interpreted as speech because we wanted to hear it. Some of it did sound pretty real and convincing though!

The only thing I find creepy is that some people waste their time recording nothing and then try to convince everyone that at 5'21'' you can hear a ghost saying supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Give me a break.

I saw the movie today, I actually liked it alot.I have to see it again to fully understand everything but it was a pretty good story I thought.It didn't really scare me at all.I guess the reason it didn't scare me that much is cause I would never fool around with something like that because I do believe in demons and satan worshipers that can talk to the dead.I didn't like the end though.That seems how most "scary" movies try and end, with a little bit of a twist.Oh well it's worth seeing it I guess.

the movie was horrible...a cinematic mess...the topic and foundation for the movie, was an excellent idea. EVP's are extremely interesting and astounding...but trying to drag it out into a 90 minute movie with a salty and bland storyline...oh my..that was 10 dollars down the drain...i should have read those movie reviews before wasting my money on it
