Recorded using Audacity with a cheap Logitech microphone. All feedback is appreciated.

Hi Alex,

I loved your playing! Congratulations! This is one of the coolest of Mozart's Sonatas. This piece is the reason why I don't tolerate people who hate Mozart lol.

Your articulation, tempo, are very impressive. I think the piece is coming along very well. The recording wasn't bad for a cheap Logitech either...

I think that the piece overall is too heavy. It's Mozart, who jokes around everyday. He was also called "Playboy".
Forte doesn't mean heavy. It just means more sound than piano. Forte unequal Rachmaninoff. (Just an exaggeration)

I don't have much free time to spend, so I apologize that I have to cut my feedback short, but I am darn sure there are lots of good pianists in this forum that can help you more than I did.

Natsu

This is my very favorite Mozart sonata! I love playing the first movement and am currently learning the other two. Your performance is very good! I typically play it just a bit faster. I agree with Natsu, that it may be a little heavy. Maybe a little less pedal would help. Have you seen the movie Amadeus? For all its historical inaccuracy, I love the images of a playful, light Mozart at the piano :). Well done!

 :) Beautifully played, well done!
I wouldn't say that your playing is generally too heavy, the only thing I have an issue with in that respect are the accents in the second part of the exposition - those I think are too loud and a bit harsh.
I agree that you could choose a slightly faster tempo. The way you play it now sometimes sounds a bit static, note-for note. You know the piece so well that I don't think you would risk anything by pushing the tempo a bit. I think it would be more exciting to listen to. And it would help you think of the longer lines.

Nicely done.
Just a couple things:
1) Accents- as alluded to above, these aren't *crash* accents like you mind find in Liszt or sometimes in Rachmaninoff; just a little more force is all. On a fortepiano (Mozart's instrument, and the one for which this piece was written), this would result in a harsh, ugly sound. To encourage your playing to be very light and fleeting, avoid that kind of tone at all times.
2) Grace notes- make sure they're on the beat and part of the music; Chopin hasn't been born yet, and the slide note hasn't really been utilized yet.
