fun fact - Horowitz programmed this in 1940 - once or twice.

I think there's a view that this is the trashy side of Liszt, when it's really one of his first attempts at harnessing technique for pictorial musical effect (eg, later on, Totentanz.)

People should listen to this recording - it's excellent!
