I am unable to upload a MP3 file or PDF file

When I try to upload a new mp3 file, I get the following message:

An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

I get this when I try to add a new topic in the audition room.  I get this message even when I try to upload old files that I have already uploaded in the past.

I tried again just now and got same message.  Unable to upload MP3 or PDF.

I also get the same error every time I try and upload something.

The blocking of file uploads was due to a server upgrade. It should now be back to normal!
