Help repertoar!
on: July 10, 2018, 09:46:22 PM
Hello
I have started to work with opera singers and i really like it! But I have a hard time to find “easy” songs or arias for the piano part ( like Strauss morgen or Händel Lascia ch'io pianga)
Any repertoar suggestions?
(I have access to any kind of Singer cus i am studying piano at one of the biggest opera and music schools in My country)

Thanks :)

Schumann's "Auf Einer Burg" from Liederkreiss is beautiful and has an easy piano part. Likewise Schubert's Abendrot or Barber's "Sure on This Shining Night." Many of the piano parts for Faure songs are striaghtforward, for example "Lydia." Those are a start, anyway.
