Topic: Question about fingering for a specific bar of BWV 861 (Prelude in G minor)  (Read 1432 times)

I can't figure out how to sustain this F with my RH index while playing the following three notes smoothly. I tried using my thumb for all three notes but it sounded terrible. Could somebody help me out?

Why not sustain it with your middle finger (as the fingering on the score suggests)? Then you can play d -b natural - d with 2-1-2. Maybe you don't like playing the Eb with your thumb? But I think you can get used to it. I just tried out the fingering shown on your score and it works easily enough.

Ohh, I read that 3 as a "2" because of the thickness of the ink. Man I'm dumb.
