Begining of Mozart's piano sonata KV330
on: June 29, 2021, 09:35:45 PM
Is this first sentence (measures 1 to 4) an example of what Seth Monaham mentions as "Plagal ii" in the old classical style (
), at 13:54?

I just got the answer of Seth Monaham himself! It is a viio chord!

Can you post a picture of the score? In my score of KV330 (a sonata in c major) the first four bars just contain the tonic and (arguably) the subdominant.
