L'isle joyeuse help

Hi,
I have recently started playing Debussy's L'isle joyeuse for my program. However, there are many parts with big chords and I have small hands. Also, (maybe from a "half injury" I got from trying to play pieces beyond my ability before) those sections make my wrist hurt. Are there any tricks or techniques to more easily play those big chords? Or is that piece not right for me?

Things like this are hard to help with over the internet. I feel a bit weary giving advice if you are already in pain/injured in case I say something that makes it worse. Big chords are supposed to feel comfortable to play as long as you can reasonably reach the needed notes. Can you post a video of you playing? Do you have a teacher? Your teacher should be able to help you or you need to find a better teacher.
