Bartok etudes

My teacher told me that to the bartok etudes you need very big hands. I want to learn all of them but I only can reach a 10th without much comfort. Anyone who played it, is it achiveable?

Bartok himself had not very big hands (10th was not easy for him AFAIK), but played these etudes.
BTW, for some players stretch with ring finger is easier than with pinky, because the ring is longer.
Here is an exercise that might help to improve stretching:
