What piece should I learn next
on: July 25, 2024, 10:30:06 PM
I wanted to take on a little “rogue” project outside of normal practice and I  wanted some recommendations because I am very indecisive. I want a challenge but not as difficult as the pieces I have done below.
Some repertoire that I have got to a very good level are the Chopin etudes op 10 no 9 and 25 no 2,the last Bulgarian rhythm from bartok mikrokosmos book six and am currently working on Chopin op 10 no 5. Thanks!
I am currently working on:
Bach p&f in c minor wtc book 1
Beethoven op 2 no 1 first movement
Chopin Black keys etude

This post was a while ago - did you pick a rogue piece?

You played Bartok DBR no 6 - - have you looked at no 1?  I think it's a more complex, richer piece than #6 - - very rewarding to study and play.  I've played all six, No 4 is really enjoyable to play too.

Bartok Allegro Barbaro would be fun to play, too.
