Doutreligne MHP-1000 and Étude II
on: January 04, 2025, 11:51:10 AM
Hello everyone,
I'm posting for the first time here. I would like to ask a complex question that might not be simple to answer.
In fact, I have been looking for a decent DP with a good feel and very detailed sound subtleties, like passive string vibration and all those mechanical sounds that a real piano makes but is absent from most DP.
My budget is limited to 1,500 EUR (preferably around 1,000 EUR).
I came across Maene's Doutreligne series and those 2 DPs. The Étude II is said to reproduse those mechanical sounds. The cheaper model, MHP-1000 is not supposed to have this option (to be verified).

I also heard a lot about Roland RP107, which is praised for reproducing mechanical sounds.
As a Belgian citizen, I also consider buying from a local retailer, as I expect Maene to be able to service their own pianos and provide original spare parts in case the piano needs repairing.
As anybody ever tested one of those 2 Maene Doutreligne pianos?
Otherwise, which piano would you advise me (any brand available in Wester Europe with a max 1500 EUR or less if possible)?
Thank you very much for your help.
