Lots of stuff. :)
Bike, tennis, fiber arts (knitting, handspinning, weaving, crochet, etc.), sewing, gardening, reading, do some art- I like pencil drawing the best... :)
I also like photography, not particularly good but I get a decent shot now and then:

That's one of my favorites from the past week. :)

Wow, Torp and Mozartian your photographs are quite good!  And Chrysalis your magical illusions are very entertaining!  Thanks for sharing these.

I really like to draw.  I draw mainly abstracts with many intricacies at this point, as I have realized that I enjoy this the most.  But I have spent the better years of my life drawing figures and shapes.  Beware and forewarned, if I ever get a scanner, I very well may post some of these abstracts, he he.

I also absolutely love to write and constantly have in the back of my mind that someday I will write a few children's books and illustrate them myself, but... heh, not ready/sure how  to commit myself to that just yet.  Maybe when I get more organized.

I also very much enjoy making beaded jewelry, primarily necklaces and earrings.  Thankfully I never have too much ambition with this hobby other than that of sheer enjoyment and the occasional gift for a person.

I have been quite interested in photography for a good while but have never done much besides take rolls and rolls of photographs (back in the days of "film" loaded cameras  ;) ) at a couple of points in my life.  I have an idea of two somewhat major projects I want to put together (major for me anyway), but... heh, not ready/sure how   to commit myself to that just yet.  Maybe when I get more organized.  Wait... I already used this excuse.

Hmmm, there are quite a few others, maybe even a million  :D.  Living/being a person  is kind of one big hobby it seems sometimes... lol.

am starting to get into bird watching, but my three year old took my new audubon bird book (pocket size) and ripped the section out about how to identify them.  unless i tape the pages back in, this book is now useless.

i have always bicycled and love to watch bicycle races.  own a racing bike, but don't race.  (yes, i am inconsistent)  not even very good at fixing the bike.  but, on a sunny day, i can bicycle and bird watch at the same time.  animals are my other passion.  my three year old has picked this up and goes to the mall for the pet store.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.

I also practice magic tricks, mostly card tricks. I paint, play guitar and sing.  I also go to school as well, so beyond that I don't have much time for anything else (excluding piano).

tash, you need to become friends with a famous pop star like Delta Goodrem.  Then she can put her names on the undies you design, and you'll become famous too!

My other hobbies apart from playing piano and dog training are composing, keeping German roller canaries, swimming (but only in winter to help my lungs), maths/statistics (yes, I count it as a hobby coz I enjoy it, otherwise I wouldn't bother turning up to work every day), and reading.

pheh i don't want delta's name on my undies i want muffinbug's! seriously when i get my own clothes label it's gonna be like paul frank and i'm gonna have really really cool undies and t-shirts and everything just wait!

btw chrysalis the magic trick was really cool i do not understand magic at all it baffles me. i think if i tried i don't think i'd be too good at it cos i'm too much of a klutz and would end up dropping the cards!

which reminds me, funny random story today in choir i was feeling cold so left the stage to get my jacket, which was in a really noisy plastic bag under all my other crap, and the choir director was talking to the basses so it was really quiet. so then i'm trying to 'quietly' get my jacket out, except then it was on one of those seats that you pull the sitting bit down to sit on and then all my other stuff lost its balance, the seat flew up and pencils were flying. so the choir director turns around and everyone's looking at me going what. it was quite funny if you were there ;)

Chrysalis,

That is one cool trick!  I'd love to be able to perform some really stunning card tricks, you know, the ones that leave the spectators like :  :o :o :o  ;D.  I had put the books "Royal road to card magic" and "Expert card technique" on my Christmas wish list but no luck   :'(

am starting to get into bird watching, but my three year old took my new audubon bird book (pocket size) and ripped the section out about how to identify them.  unless i tape the pages back in, this book is now useless.

Birdwatching is a great hobby  :)  My father doesn't really agree though...  When he sees me waiting in a birdwatcher cabin to spot the rare bird that should be there somewhere, he always says : "And I thought that fishing was boring..." :-\

I combine birdwatching with photography.  Here are some results (click to enlarge) :

Other hobbies :

Playing tennis
Reading books
Listening to music
Playing guitar (well, trying to...  :-X)

dear calidris,

loved those bird pictures.  i don't know exactly why, but birds pick me up.  maybe it's their singing, and the different behaviors they exhibit. there's some bright red bird that always seems to dash in front of my bike -low to the ground - like some sort of person jaywalking.  thanks again for the pictures!  i will get out my torn bird book and try to identify.  of course, i have to alternate this with writing my 5000 word final report on mozart's cadenzas vs cadenzas others wrote for him.  i think i am losing short term memory for long term.  just today i couldn't remember the date or my pin number for my checking account.  how strange is that!  it must be the end of the semester.

I like to write, mainly short stories but also the occasional poem. I also have a couple of novels one of which I actually intend to complete sometime this century.

Also like making web sites (on small scale): https://anath.everywebhost.com

Unfortunately the above site also has some piano recordings on it, and they suck. I blame this partly on my very basic equipment but mostly on my just not being able to make a non-sucky recording. But hey, I'm working on it.  :)

im not HEAPS experienced...but i'v gone through advanced obedience and am just now trying out Schutzhund training with my husky..but things dont look promising as i dont think he has sufficient prey drive to excel in it..and if things fail there..then im just going back to obedience..i'd like to enter him in obedience AKC events to see how he does...

Other than piano...

reading...
maths...
composing...
surfing the net... (including lots of reading + socializing) [if I told you what I read about, you'd be appalled)
Writing... yes, I mean it... upside down... with the left hand... with the left hand inverted... with the left hand inverted and upside down... with both hands writing the same... with both hands writing mirror images of each other... and I'm trying for both hands writing different things simultaneously... waste of time huh?
Also, I write poems and short stories sometimes... and prologues of course... I'm an expert in writing prologues... All my novels get only as far as the prologue... but they're nice prologues... very intriguing... if only I had the patience to follow up with a first chapter...
Daydreaming... imagining... stoning (it's actually clearing the mind)
Erm... rambling?
Oh, yes... choir if that counts...

Lol no i want you to analyse my writing to see if i agree with your analysis! haha that's be cool look i've got a sample for you

https://tinypic.com/4gkjs3

let's test your skills!

an interesting piece of sample! ready to learn more about yourself, tash? here we go:

the writer is highly intelligent. he possesses great metal facility (do you like those opening phrases, tash? :)). however, try not to rely so much on him/her when it comes to works that requires utter discipline and absolute responsibility! very spontaneous, quick/"short-cut" minded individual, s/he often fails to see details, and/or, in other situations, under-estimates the importance of getting all the details right (despite the fact that s/he have the capability to). lazy, disorganized, and also moody, tash likes to have lots of freedom, AND dislike close scrutiny ( s/he is willing to pay all the price to get her way to f-r-e-e-d-o-m! ).

oh, s/he is willing to walk the extra mile to do anything 24/7. s/he believes in hardworking and that of traditional step-by-step method. very purposeful person, s/he is a person with integrity. s/he does weigh positives and negatives evenheadedly, calculate every little corner of details..........oops, sorry, this parapgrah is......NOT for you, tash. my analysis for someone else. ;D

sorry, for the set-back. alright, lets get back to my original client. here we go: tash wishes that s/he could get the correct guess on what his/her emotion would be in the next five minutes. unfortunately, oftentimes, it remains a wish! highly individual, artistic, tash has not seen the importance of clear, purposeful communication. an overtly right-brained person, tash is an introvert with often warm yet fluctuated heart/emotion. this kind of writing is usually written by a left hander. If s/he is not lefthanded, this individual shares the same characteristic with common left handers.

ok. sorry, i can't continue. i need money, here.

lol, tds

ps. oh, you can show it to your mother, she knows you best.

am thinking crane (am i right?)  please take into consideration that i am not a full time bird watcher.  albatrosses are my favorite sea bird.  give me more hints about this 'c' bird.

ok. the red one just might have been a cardinal, but it didn't have that little dodad on the head.  it was sort of reddish-orange.  have to get my bird book out.

sorry, for the set-back. alright, lets get back to my original client. here we go: tash wishes that s/he could get the correct guess on what his/her emotion would be in the next five minutes. unfortunately, oftentimes, it remains a wish! highly individual, artistic, tash has not seen the importance of clear, purposeful communication. an overtly right-brained person, tash is an introvert with often warm yet fluctuated heart/emotion. this kind of writing is usually written by a left hander. If s/he is not lefthanded, this individual shares the same characteristic with common left handers.

ok. sorry, i can't continue. i need money, here.

lol, tds

ps. oh, you can show it to your mother, she knows you best.

omg i'm quite agreeing with this! i'm kinda freaking out now, like when janice practically knew what i looked like! wow you're good i'd pay for that, but i'm too pov lol ;)
btw i'm right-handed (and a She!), but tend to do some things with my left hand, like cutting and throwing darts haha. i was meant to be left-handed!
i'm still freaking out- so what makes my handwriting make you think i'm like that? that's seriously cool i'm highly impressed! thanks you're the bomb!
see everyone should take note of what i say, being the highly intelligent person i am LOL ;)

one word seems important for you to chew: consistency. yupper, inconsistency will be your life long enemy. getting to know yourself as soon as possible is good. thanks for reading my analysis. warmest, tds

Hi Pianonut,

This isn't a game. I thought there was a sea bird that looks like a sea gull, but it's name begins with 'C'. I have looked through books but can't find it  ???

Now I think I'm going mad.  ::)

Take a deep breath and don't worry, my dear!  I had a mental pic of you because I know another Tash (same age as you, too) and when you showed me the pic of you and your friends, I knew that one had to be you because you look EXACTLY like the Tash I know!!  Don't worry, I'm not going to fly to Australia and stalk you!!
