I'm 15 years old, and I've been practicing for 3 years.
Started April 2002.
A year after, then it's go time! My 1st difficult piece- the Dr. Gradus ad Parnassum in the Children's Corner Book by Debussy- took me 2 months to learn this, then Schubert's Impromptu in G-flat Op.90, no.3, another 2 months, then 5 more in preparation for the national competition 11 months after that, I was able to make it to the finals, but I didn't win any position though.
Sometime after, just 3 months ago, I won 2nd place in the UP (University of the Philippines) piano competition, and I was the youngest in Category B (13-17 years old). And now, I've been playing some notoriously diffucult pieces, like Chopin's Etude 10/1, and 25/6, 'Military' Polonaise, Beethoven Sonata #9 (14/1)(But this one isn't so hard), Bach WTC1 #1(And this one too). After that are another group of pieces, around 4 of them, all Chopin, all very difficult.
I just wish it isn't any of these: Barcarolle in F#Major Op.60, Sonata Op.35, Polonaise Op.44, 61.
