what about the people that were missing from the plane? i thought body parts, etc. were found? the relatives would probably have been first to believe this theory if they could not believe the plane hit.
not being there, i would trust eyewitnesses and relatives who soon went to the site to try to find out what happened. tom clancy often has novels with interesting plots and twists that a terrorist mind might take (with adequate and novel approaches to finding and fighting the terrorists). i suppose surprise hits are more interesting to them. we cannot forget to pray that we be 'worthy to escape all these things.' this is just a foretaste of how ugly war is. someday it may come full force? we don't know the day or the hour (only God) but sometime, we may deal with the same terrible situations that Iraq and other countries have. we have to be prepared spiritually, because there really is no other form of protection in nuclear war or any other modern warfare. i've often wondered, though, about taking more red cross certification because in war you have very bad situations that need dealing with immediately. if everyone panics, then there is an even worse situation.
even if the next few year are only weather related troubles (taking into account the severe storms in the past several years), one still may need to keep a separate place for insurance paperwork, social security numbers, birth certs., etc. i have sent packages several times to relatives and asked them to keep them in a safe place. i don't rely only on preparation, but it comes in handy even in a fire or natural disaster. warm clothing and blankets in the car can't hurt. and, re-stocking first aid kits and things to keep children busy for awhile (books and toys).
