Sorry tds, I usually always notify the authors about deleted threads but forgot it this time as I was trying to do too many things at the same time...

As I remember I deleted one topic today posted here at the PF-website board. It was about that you wanted to reset your account to "newbe" but keep your username and posts just to feel "younger".

In my opinion such posts are simply waste of space and above all, waste of time for all visitors that opens the thread.

my "newbie/younger" thread was genuinely written as an inquiry, and i did expect a response from you. however, now that you have deleted it, my interest in the topic has grown significantly smaller.

i respect your decision and right as an administrator to delete messages that you think must be discarded. from my perspective, however, there seems to be at least a couple of things needed to be done for the betterment of pf future life: 1) give yourself an apt number of competent assistants, 2) add better description and definition as to what can be categorized as "waste of space", "inappropriate/rude message", et al. 3) add more regulations and reinforce them to everybody equally. i totally believe that the steady growth pf population demands, sooner or later, clearer and more established rules.

Nils, what if you moved them to a part of the pf site that was title "useless threads?"

Because this would still be using p space on the server, and therefore cause the site to run ever so slightly slower.

dear mikeyg,

lemme put this in better perspective: your way of warning people resembles a fat man who tells his crowd that he has an axe in his left hand and a bible in his right hand. light wind catches a better part of a house than many bellows scares a tree.

i wanna SEE a person holding an axe in one hand and a bible in the other, and i will surely be his obedience.

it seems like a good idea, bob.  how about giving a slightly more positive title than "useless thread"? perhaps:

1. "over a coffee table"
2. "fun and stress-free"
3. "come yee, the light hearted"
4. "useless!! really?"
5. "here is your piano, sir? no, not at the moment. thanks!"

can't you reset your post count by deleting your account and then opening another with the same name?

This forum has finally sunk to a new low.

If you believe so, (like I do) then contribute to this thread: https://www.pianoforum.net/smf/index.php/topic,8620.0.html
The more support shown for it, the more stuff like this will stop.
