Wich is a very nice example why you should 'save for college' instead of throwing it away by buying fish eye lenses ;)

Well I wanna get a fisheye and a long lens now...

Indeed, I am far better looking than most people think.
On what grounds do you assume this? Do you know what people think (especially those who have not seen you)? and, indeed, why anyone who's not seen you should arrive at any conclusions about your appearance in the first place?

Anyway, now that you are presumably about to assume your place in the House of Lords as Lord Thalbrit(s?)ch of Gravesend, perhaps more people will get to see you and find out for themselves!

congratz, super nice. I have actually been playing w the idea of setting a savings goal to buy a nice bike. This is the ride i have had my eye on

Would take me long long time to save but i might as well start putting away in my piggy bank

These kids make the frames

There were only two models at the time, the arrow is newest and a single  speed no frills basic model, not mentioned in the video since came out after the 11 speed and 3 speed bixby and ridewell

$1,000 is astonishing value for a hand built steel framed bike. In rip off Britain, things are more expensive. On current conversion rates, mine worked out around $11,500 and no doubt would be much less in the good old U S of A.

Sadly, that kind of thing applies - and has in my experience long done so - between the US and UK prices ones of so many things; it's not even a case of pounds for dollars in many cases, either.

i guess it can be for some, i grew up and always ride single speed w bmx and flatland freestyle type bikes, never owned a mountai bike but would eventually probably dabble w road bikes for long hauls

l probably, the shinola design is more for a bulletproof high quality will last a lifetime if you maintain it. That sweet canondale is an engineering marvel built for speed and efficiency. The arrow appeals to me from the design aspect, it has a retro golden age of mid century design feel, you can tell the people that designed and build it are passionate and care about what they making, like w design of some american cars from 50's and early 60's.

the thing is beautiful and looks fast standing still

At the moment, that is made a little difficult as the Police are not taking any action. However, i have witnesses and am challenging this stupidity whilst at the same time asking my Solicitors to initiate a claim.

In the UK, would it be considered a criminal case or civil case? In the US, it can float between the two; if it's just an accident and he hit your tire but you weren't hurt at all, it might be considered a civil case (negligence). But if you got hurt and had a good lawyer, you could potentially charge for negligent harassment by auto, or something of that nature.
That's all in the US, though.

Interesting points and although I am not a lawyer, I feel that in jolly England it can only be a criminal case if the police are willing to prosecute which they are not. However, a witness has come forward and I will be challenging that decision. My claim for damages is a civil case.

Catch is a neutered tom, and yes, he does more or less rule their house. Last year he became obese and ceased catching rodents, but after several months of a weight management diet he is back to the activity he was named for.

It has been written off old chap. The frame failed its audio test. Visibly it looked OK, but the carbon fibre was damaged beneath the surface.

The car driver accepted liability so i am just waiting for the money so i can go bike shopping.

Regretfully, it now appears i have torn tendons in my shoulder and nerve damage, so no banjo or piano for me at the moment. I will be claiming this has ruined my love life.

Oh, my. Nerve damage!
I just had rotator cuff tendon & outer biceps tendon re attached 4/19.
My advice, don't accept the nerve block offered by the anethesist.  My arm was totally numb for 36 hours, and now  7/3 it twitches occasionally on fingers 2,3. I don't know if twitching is related, but the pain levels were low enough after surgery I was off the codeine substitute in 30 hours.  Had a 2 weeks supply.  Less intervention is better I imagine.
Also, medicare paid $10000 for the nerve block and $3800 for the tendon surgery, including sewing up 5 muscle tears. Took about 2 minutes to do the nerve block, hour or more for the surgery to go by how long I was unconcious.
There is more pain now doing some of the exercises to build the muscles up, than the weeks after surgery.  Isn't naproxen wonderful?
Last month I bought a farnell.com copy of a go-pro outdoor camera, to put on my bike helmet and record behind me continuously.  4000 lines sharpness they say.  $98 with the extra battery & charger.  It's loaned out, when I recover it I'll post pictures of my bikes. It Uploads direct to linux/PC, acts like a hard drive out of the UMC port. PN 82-19749. Also comes with aps for apple phones & android.
After 10 weeks I can play Joplin Magnetic Rag, but hurt after that.  Before injury I could play 2 hours.  I can't reach beyond octave 5 either. Injury was to right shoulder/biceps.  Not sports related, fell on a pipe bringing in the mail!@#$#$%^$%&^.

rough break, man, so sorry! You'll bounce back, slow recovery leads to quick progress, take it easy and get a good physical therapist up and going. as for the fine manual dexterity, might want to consult an occupational therapist also, a lot of the stuff that would go into getting someone up and going and minimizing overuse injury relapse for the work place, like typing a computer, would have very similar application to the piano and probably banjo, that's assuming you cannot find a music specialist, there's folks specifically geared up to help pianists, etc. rehab, maybe consult a hand specialist?
