From two Summers ago, the most amazing cloud formation I've ever seen, and one of the most amazing things, really.  It was right over my head and I just couldn't believe it!  I just took these photos with my phone :).

Thal

Yikes, that reminds me that I had a dream just a couple hours ago about a nuclear bomb exploding.   I was outside and saw what at first seemed like fireworks in the sky but soon became evidently a nuclear bomb, and I remember in my dream seeing that shockwave just barroling towards us and passing through us.   Although, contrary to what would really happen, we didn't die and all of the structures didn't disappear.   But, I remember what it felt like to be hit by that shockwave.

But yes, seeing those clouds form like that was a bit eery for sure.  It brought other people outside to be looking at it, as well.

Okay :).

I also had dreams like that about nuclear bombs, but the last one was years ago.

This is my first nuclear bomb dream that I can remember, and so it was extra strange to me that Thal mentioned about nuclear fallout, as I was laying in bed, reading the forum, a bit after I dreamt it.  And, it was definitely a nuclear bomb, not an asteroid, because in my dream we were talking about radiation and such (again, which is very unrealistic since we wouldn't have radiation problems, but would instead be completely disappeared).  Ick, I didn't like it too much.

I have never had a dream about nuclear bombs, but i sometimes dream about a shrinking piano. At the end I have only one key left.

Thal

Actually, when I first read this it honestly scared me more than my dream did, haha, but then I also remembered that I wrote about a piano having only one key, covered in deer hyde, in my old What If thread ( :'( :'(), so then I got slightly happy ... haha.

Oh, how i long to go back to the Shetlands.

Could not get to Foula due to the weather when I went, so must get around to it.

The 2nd photo looks like Esha Ness, but could also be about 100 other places.

Did you get to Hermaness and look over the cliffs to Muckle Flugga?

Well spotted, Esha Ness it is. I didn't manage to get to Hermaness, it's one of the things on the list that I'm going to have to go back to do/see. I had the most wonderful time in Shetland - stunning islands and the nicest, most hospitable people.

Hmm, if I moved there how would I make a living...

When I went to Hermaness I got to the top of the hill, but the mist was too bad to see Muckle Flugga.

I too went in October and whilst the weather was consistently bad, it did not dampen my enthusiasm for the place. Even the featureless moors of Yell had some appeal.

Although the Islands are remote, I can imagine retiring there. As you say, the Shetlanders are the most hospitable people, as long as you don't call them Scottish. In addition, the roads are almost empty, are kept in incredible condition and there are only 1 set of traffic lights and no speed cameras at all. To drive was almost as pleasurable as walking.

Apart from St Kilda, simply the most stunning place I have ever visited.

Due to the wind, it is advantagious in Shetland to be less than 3 feet tall.

I guess the ponies are ideally suited.

Hey!  They are from Shetland.  Haha.  Go figure.... I thought maybe they wouldn't.

Small horses since the Bronze Age.

And Shetland is a group of islands northeast of the UK, by the Orkney and Faroe Islands.  I've heard of those.

I see a person riding a Shetland pony.  Have you ever ridden a Shetland pony Thal?

I also thought Shetland would be a great place to retire... if any of us will actually ever be able to retire, given the state of the economy!

Perhaps that's the way to move there sooner... open the Shetland retirement home for bewildered pianists. I'm sure there'd be a steady stream of customers!

After several years, I've decided to revive my account.
This is me May 2009 after playing the Bach Concerto No.2 in D Minor BWV 1052 with my college's symphony orchestra.

and here's just a random picture of me with the Steinway in my college's recital hall. How I'll miss it (I just graduated this past spring). I believe I was, once again, playing Bach :) this was taken about two weeks before my senior recital in May.
Music, even in situations of the greatest horror, should never be painful to the ear but should flatter and charm it, and thereby always remain music."

haha ... Sorry, didn't see these here until just now.  Yes, in fact I did have my images removed because I thought perhaps a pupil joined the forum.  However, at the time I am not hiding too much, as is perhaps obvious.  By now, if that particular pupil didn't leave me (which she definitely has not), then perhaps she can handle my crazyness.

HOWEVER, I'm not too sure about another photo for moustache competition, though I can't say I hate a nice little moustache photo of my feminine self.  But, for one, this place is crazy.  For two, aside from the fact that I had my photos removed because of my pupil, there were actually too many on here anyway ... haha.  But, for three, I think if I ever do post anymore photos, they will be the real thing.  My professional photos ... which require me to shrink a bit because in one I will be tastefully naked ... haha.  But see, now I feel motivated to stay steadfast on my thinning myself program.  But, oh yeah, one will actually probably include a moustache and a top hat and a lady's tuxedo anyway :).  I have a whole plan of photos ... okay, it's also a secret plan to feel like a model, too ... hee hee.

*runs to the bench press*

No matter what I become in life though, people have to remember m1469.  Okay?  You have to remember my insides!  No name me, no face me.  Just me.  I'm just a person.
