And can do it in front of other people. Stage presence is a big part of it. My teacher used to perform lots with Symphonies and recitals and such - she says it's all choreographed - The way you walk out, the way you bow, the way you sit down before you play - depending on the type of piece you are playing. It's all part of the show.
Very true. But these atribues alot of times cannot be practiced. Many are ingrained and have to become natural. This is exactly what separates a performer from just a pianist. Note: please don't begin practicing facial expressions in the bathroom mirror for your next concert!
In your opinion, what makes a good preformer? And is being a good preformer the same as having good 'stage prescence'? Just curious
