So...to clarify - there are protestants that simply 'protest' that the Catholic Church speaks for them.

Undoubtedly there are protestants that simply "protest" that you speak for them.

Supported the war in iraq?  How.  I didn't vote for it.  It was a unilateral decision done before any of the American public even knew about it.  However, once your country decides an important decision like this - you have to think 'what knowledge did they have to make them act in haste?'

The only thing I can come up with is that thousands of Kurds had recently been killed by Chemical warfare.  The same kind that Iraq could STILL have if Saddam Hussein was in power.  Remember - he was moving his missles all over the place.

Now, Israel is important strategically to the USA.  And, visa-versa.  Some think we went in for oil.  if that was truly the case - why would we be paying so much for gas this summer that practically all of us are homeless?  It WASN't OIL.  We value the land of Israel.  Our father is also Abraham and we can prove it by DNA.

You can all carp about nothing.  But, do you really want the 'old days' of Saddam Hussein's braggardy when he chopped off heads of Americans on TV.  He is thankfully not running Iraq and hasn't overrun Israel.

Say 'no' to terrorists.  That's my motto.  Civilians should have a better life without them.  And, that includes Iraqi women!  Something Saddam never cared about.  NOR WILL THE UN.  A Homosexual agenda doesn't include women.  In fact, that makes the UN much scarier than Iraq.  In Iraq they have the death penalty for homsexuality.  That is what makes people love Islam so much?  I don't really get it - for liberals to like the exact religion where homosexuality is banned.

Who is "our". My father is not Abraham, dunno about you.

Your uneducated DNA garbage was refuted some months ago if memory serves.

You are beginning to fall into one of her traps.

She will then challenge you to find such a post and you will not wish to do this as you don't want to spend weeks trawling through pages of her trash.

The line of 'David' was effectively brought to Ireland.  Even Jesus Christ is thought to have traversed England and many in Glastonbury know of it.  He most likely was brought there between the ages of 12-25  and brought by his uncle Joseph of Aramathia.

Many people from Glastonbury do know of it and make a fortune from cheap trinkets at the Abbey Bookshop.

Some believe that he was brought here after being pulled down from the cross alive. Some believe he was bought to Marsielle and was eventually buried on a hillside near Renees.

Nobody knows for sure what happened as it is all just legend.

You do not know, i do not know and despite claims to the contrary, neither does anyone else.

The bible is not a 'fake' book.  It is REAL.

So is the Guiness Book of Records, but it would stretch the imagination to breaking point to believe every entry and undoubtedly there is fakery involved.

At least the Guiness Book of records requires some kind of proof before a record is accepted which is more than can be said for your Bible.

Actually, the Guiness Book of records outsells the Bible.

Value the land of abraham? Went there because of killed kurds? DNA of Abraham found and proven ancestry? On which planet?  ::)

Terrorism is just another form of warfare, you said yes to the invasion of Iraq. Why would that be any different?

Between Iraq and Turkey - much has been found to prove the bible true.  Take the recent archeological finds in Gobleki.  It isn't far from what was said to be a major center of civilization and learning in Ur where Abraham hails.  If we find Chaldean reference on those stones - it will be hard for Smithsonian to claim them as even 'stone age' excepting to make stone age more civilized than we thought.  And, to explain how they were made by people who were uncivilized?  Maybe if man was created in G-d's image - he had a brain at conception.

Some say it might be we have plowed up the same area that the garden of eden was near.  https://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1720793/posts

At the end of the article it mentions that the area was covered with dirt.  Possibly from the flood?  The flood explains a lot of phenomenon that scientists try to come up with explainations for.

PS you keep saying 'you said yes to the war in iraq.'  When did i say yes?  I'm saying that by fiat the American public found out that we indeed were going to war and figured that our President knew something that we didn't.  Weapons of mass destruction can be chemical, you know.  Lots of Kurds DID DIE.  May more would have died under Saddam's regime.  Are you saying you want Saddam back?  Which style of living is better.  The terrorists of Saddam's regime or the current terrorists from IRAN?  Do you want Iran to take over now?  What would your life be like under Iranian dictatorship under a legitimately crazy Ahmadinejad? Who, btw, has called for the destruction of Israel more times than possible for a man who wants to be considered 'normal' in the eyes of the world.  Or, perhaps he doesn't care.

Is it POSSIBLE that the US is the only country in the world that truly cares about the state of Israel (or used to - before 'the brotherhood' stepped in).  Gyzzmo, tell me what your world view is and then i'll understand you better.

Again you're trying to talk things right that were wrong. There were no weapons of mass destruction, and that was the reason of the war.

Here's why: Acknowledging that terrorists have reasons helps understanding their motives which helps understanding the root problems and how to fix them. Then of course it turns out that terrorists are not evil. Who is anyway. War against terrorism is like when you have cancer, you declare war against loss of hair. Or when you throw a bomb on a wedding, you declare war against the major who officially calls for djihad in his town. How dare he! Eat this, piece of s***!!11

Last one is a real world example, that was the message of an article about terrorism we read the other day in english class.

'Terrorists' dont have airplane carriers, tanks and Tomahawks. Their only way is to suicidebomb or hijack airplanes. They even had some succes on 9/11, managed to kill about 1500 people.
Americans though do have airplane carriers, tanks an Tomahawks and they dont have to suicide, just press a button. They also had succes and managed to cause the death of 150,000 people.

Cant say that terrorist are really that much worse than americans. Might be more the other way around.

Remove the religion and you remove the war.

It would be better for the World if the whole area was completely nuked to remove all places of supposed religious significance.

Then there would be peace.

What you all don't like about the bible is it explains archeology!  Take Mt. Nimrut.  Now, people say 'oh, nimrod - he never lived.'  But, the people in Turkey say otherwise.  The mountain is NAMED after nimrod and has a head of nimrod at the top.  Some miles away there is a zigurat that could aptly be either Babel or the experimentation to get the zigurrat going in Babylon of Iraq - which could COULD have been under the palace of the great NEB.

I don't know exact places - but it sort of comes together about Nimrod when these great stones are uncovered that have wild boar on them.  Supposedly Nimrod was killed by a wild boar.  However, his monuments (much like Egypts at times) boast that he actually overcame Abraham and threw him into a fire.  Unlikely story since he is said in the bible to have 'breathed his last and died at a ripe old age, an old man and satisfied with life; and he was gathered to his people.'

The reason people don't like the bible is it explains a lot and nobody believes it because it is 'too simple.'  It's simply the ancestry of everyone who lived from the beginning of time until 70 or so AD.  Not sure when John wrote his gospel but he was the last of the disciples to stick around.  Now, it may not be important to some of you - but is very important to me.

Especially this part about Gobleki Tepe.  IF it was the site of Nimrod's temple/s - of course archeologists would try to make it appear older than it was.  But, we have bass relief - which wasn't done in the days that the germans scientists said it was created!  Back then, it was only supposed to be paintings on walls, remember!  So...I'm just a bit curious about the whole thing.  Especially with a zigurat close by.  Also, the wild boar or pigs are depicted several times - and a known pig farm had been in the area.  This was one of Nimrod's nemesis in the end since he was killed by one.

Well, there have been other places in the area of which the Israelites had pillars erected for each of the 12 tribes.  But, this wouldn't be it because G-d specifically asked them not to carve (or make bass relief) of anything.  Just simple stones and possibly writing.  Nimrod was the first builder of Babylon and he wanted a 'one world order.'  Others come there to learn about the first one world order.

Btw, for understanding this better take a history book - look at sargon, look at the bust of nimrod atop mt. nimrut and put the two together.

The bible is indeed so vague that it explains everything. And when the bible is not vague about something (like jesus created the world in 7 days), we just explain it that 'days' should be seen in perspective.

Here's an article entitled 'every tyrant trashes history' :
https://www.danielpipes.org/comments/111155

It explains more about the history of the bible and the history we uncover in the middle east through archeology.  And, it speaks of PROOF that Sargon lived exactly the time of Nimrod.  Many places throughout the middle east are named after him.  Why?  Because he was a 'mighty hunter' and helped the people build cities.  Sure he was mad at Abraham, because abraham destroyed Ninevah.  That was one of the cities he helped to build!

I would say, if i were digging in that area, lets see what is similar between all the cities that Nimrod built.  Put the pieces together.  If they were worshipping the moon (as is proscribed in almost all the archological sites about Gobleki) then it would make sense that Nimrod's own daughter Imana claimed to be a moon goddess.  That the goddesses of the time included the ones we know of in the history books (and uncovered many idols of them) - and also that Nimrod was the one that told the story of the 'epic of Gilgamesh' himself and the tablet is uncovered: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history-archaeology/gilgamesh.html?c=y&page=1

When you put all of this together - you cannot help but respect the bible for it's historical acuracy alone.  And, Nimrod never said the flood didn't happen.  He acknowledged it but changed the story to suit him (including mythology).

Of course. And that's how israel is percieved in the arab world, as a US satellite. That was probably the intent, to establish a steppingstone for the west in that region.

Israel is the SMALLEST country in the area.  It was forced to be a country by way of needing a place for the jews to settle after the war.  They were FORCED there.  Now, it seems everyone is angry at them for existing.  Why?  Because they are all jealous.  And, even after the 1967 war, Israel made terms of peace BY GIVING the temple mount to the Arabs because they wanted it so badly.  Snipers were tiring to Israel.  But, guess what?!  The arabs then said 'you can't worship here.'

What?!  After the temple was rebuilt twice?  Sure, both people's hail from Abraham - but their non acceptance of each other would surely make Abraham roll over in his grave.  Abraham gave the people of Lot the BEST land.  What did they do later.  Come over to Abraham's land and say they wanted that.

Peace in Israel would be nice.  Too bad the Hamas don't let up even when Israel packs up and leaves Gaza.  Why didn't they stop firing?   Gaza is much like the Panama canal is to us.  A security measure for our border.

Arabs whine when they get a taste of their own medicine.  As long as they are the ones causing pain and sufferring and showing their 'might' - all is right.  PS Why do they place their own women and children in areas they know might be taken out?  So the military survives?  What is the military for?  hiding?

G-d himself is coming to straightent the whole mess out - and guess what HE says?  That HE gave the land to ISRAEL.  That's why it's named Israel.  It also explains why some don't want to believe the bible.  The history of Israel is there.

Of course. A US satellite, as i said. Of course it's a security measure just like i have to secure my garden and protect my interest of a peaceful home by extending my fence to the front door of my neighbor so I can protect the apples from his tree.

Hey, if i were your neighbor I'd say 'come and pick the apples.'  I think it was tried to be worked out that Palestinians worked in Israel for a LONG TIME.  Then, terror started happening.  What does a country do then?  Allow it to exist?  We have the same problems here - but mostly we DO trust those who are immigrants and peaceful.  They are allowed to work here as long as they show a certain amount of respect.

It's too bad that the peaceful citizens of both Palestine and Israel can't just say 'white flag.  we're brothers.  let's work together.'  share the land until the end of time.'  But, it wasn't prophecied that way.  Satan works in both sides to kill and maim.

However, there are rare stories of a man and woman (one jewish, one palestinian) and their story seems like a modern day romeo and juliet.  They don't ALL hate one another.  There are also groups of women from both sides that get together who have lost sons - and they talk about their shared experiences.

I do believe they pray to the same G-d.  Allah.  Jehovah.  It's all the same.  If they have one G-d - why can't they stop being jealous for a minute?  Now, it's about water instead of oil.  There is so little water in the middle east right now - and the dams in Turkey will cause a real problem soon.  Guess who is helping Turkey with the dams?  The UN.  Oh great!

According to the bible - it all ends at the valley of meggido - where all the nations get into this business.  Before that - it is said that jerusalem will be divided in two and that anyone who sees armies starting to surround jerusalem should flee to the hills.  Not to go back and get anything.  Jerusalem will likely be divided for as long as the 'great tribulation' exists (according to me) - otherwise how can it be a great tribulation?  Where people are forced to live in exile and obey the next great Neb or Nimrod.  They're all one and the same.  Evil forces that take over the situation and claim it will produce peace.  The sacrifice of Nimrod was to Satan himself - that's why he used pig sacrifices.

Sure. Let me just ensure that I can pick your apples every year by taking the tree. Thanks very much  ;D Sad day for you, if your kids' stomachs are empty, you see.

It would be nice if both sides came together in peace and planted gardens together so that both could share the produce.  After all, they both have expertise in farming and could share secrets.  The older people know about the land - the israeli's have irrigation systems.  To share knowledge and work out an existence that would make their children more secure.  Sure, i feel badly for the Palestinian children.  I also feel badly for the Israeli children.  They both live in fear.  What if they didn't have to?!

I believe the situation is a forced one right now.  When  G-d returns - he'll say 'this land is for you - and this land is for you.'  The bible states in Genesis 13:14 to Abrahams that his children (both ishmael and issac) would live in the land.  'now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward, southward, and eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and your descendants FOREVER.'  Then, G-d maps out the lands for Ishmael and Issac and it's really not a debatable thing that Jerusalem itself was given to King David as a place to build a temple to G-d.  It is called 'the city of our G-d.'

More for one is less for the other. This kind of apple tree doesn't grow and doesn't produce seeds. Of course you can keep your tree, with assistance from my side, if you just give me 70 % of the apples and let me use your garden as an extension of mine.  ;D

Nothing to do with Satan, it is their religion that stops any possible peace.

Bible is irrelevant as usual.

The bible is not a 'fake' book.  It is REAL.

What proof do you have to say the bible is real? Yes, it is a solid book, but there is no proof that it's contents actually happened. You only believe it because people like you have been telling you for years it is true. There is NO, solid evidence!

Sorry pianistimo, I'm even starting to get sick of it. Only reason I'm still in this thread is because I'm subscribed to it now. Is there some way to unsubscribe? Just curious.

Yes, go into your profile, then it's the little Notification side-menu, then you should be able to find all the unsubcribe things, etc.

Israel claimed alot of land that wasnt theirs to take. They cause people in Palestina to starve and bombs everything that doesnt agree. For that reason they belong much more to Bush his 'ashes of evil' than any country in the neighbourhood.

War has never been a religious issue for the Jews, they fight for their existence alone.  They have never claimed 'jihad' on anyone.  They do not promote war, but rather seek terms of peace.  The terms of peace have ALWAYS been rejected.  Why?  Because the right of Israel to exist was never accepted.  Not in the past and not now.

Ancient Israel may have fought religious wars - but modern Israel - NO.  Do you know why?  They themselves know that without the ark of G-d - winning a true war is hopeless in the spiritual sense.  But, in the physical sense they know the Messiah will return.  Too much evidence for him all around.  Do you realize how many archeological sites are in the area that prove their relationship to Him?

Tacitus, Josephus, Eusebius, Lucian - others who witnessed the eclipse of the sun at the hours that Yeshua (Christ) was sufferring knew it was a phenomenon on earth like none other.  Basically, they only happen every 70 or so odd years.  And, yet the perfection of Creation allows it to be possible.  The sun, whose diameter is 400 times that of the moon happens to be about 400 times as far away from the earth.  This condition permits the moon to just barely cover up the sun.  In fact, if the moon's diameter (2160) were just 140 miles less, it would not be large enough to cover completely over the sun.

Many other proofs for the existence of a HUGE earthquake at the time of his death exist all around the sea of galilee and under jerusalem itself.  This is confirmed by satellite imagery. Whenever the bible says 'this happened' or 'that happened' - there are names, places, details, events that concur simultaneously to prove the event real in history.  You can prove Israel went out of Egypt by the obelisk in NYC central park with the work 'isrir' on it - and the fact that the pharoahs during the time of moses accepted moses and THREE pharoahs used the name Tuthmosis.  It is thought that Hapshetsut is non other than the princess mother of Moses (who became next in command to the pharoah, btw - and is also recorded in egyptian history).  Before Moses was Joseph - or Josier.  Also called Yuya.  His marriage to Aseneth is recorded in Egyptian history.

You can all say 'prove it' and I do - but you say nothing.  Why?  Because you can't understand the proof.  THat's why.  Not because there isn't proof.

Now, prove to me why Palestine should occupy half of Jerusalem.  Where is Mecca in all of this?  And why should they fully occupy the temple mount.  Why should it mean anything to them?  Because their Prophet Muhammad had a dream that only he knew about and had to write it down for others to read.  Where is the corroboration of facts that is required in Israeli history and GIVEN!  Muhammad existed - but his dream was squash. It was his desire alone - since it does not follow the laws of the Eternal Creator who made Israel in the first place.  G-d is always the same yesterday and forever.  He would not give Israel to Israel one day and Israel to another the next  It's a 'me too' religion' where Muhammad has been to Jerusalem in a DREAM and not even physically been there according to some: https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Muhammad/myths-mu-jerusalem.htm  and, how does Muhammad claim a place among JEWISH prophets.  It's really strange, to me, and quite unsatisfactory any way you slice or dice it.

It would be much better to just say 'we want your land' instead of placing all the blame on Muhammad which doesn't really solidify a case.  After all, they made Jerusalem in the image of Mecca.  Did Muhammad himself ever CLAIM Jerusalem personally?

Sure, Ishmael is a brother of Issac, but Issac's descendants were given the entire land of Canaan.  Can you fathom how much more that is of this land than the TINY TINY TINY nation of Israel.  This whole thing is outragous.

OK.  HOw does that rock you socks?

Well, yes, it's real enough, and I'm sure plenty of what's written in it is real. There's plenty of history in there (some of it a little distorted/misreported/spun etc. but nonetheless valuable) and some interesting commentary on customs of the day. There's also a lot that's incredibly vague, and it's mostly the latter on which the religion bit is founded.
